The Hard-Ons With Neil Hamburger - American Exports 7" EP Now on Alternative Tentacles Records, here at last is a deluxe reissue of the recordings made in 2008 when Neil Hamburger lost a bet regarding the "alive or dead" status of former Hollywood Squares star George Gobel, and was thus obligated to sing on a loud "punk" record by his friends, Australia's legendary punk musicians The Hard-Ons. Neil, whose taste veers towards more soothing sounds, such as The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra or Bow Wow Wow, spent an afternoon at a Sydney recording studio with the lads, and the result is this 4 song extended-play record. Some copies are on colored vinyl, some are on black, and unless you specify, you could receive either. Comes in custom picture sleeve with eye-opening insert, all at a value price.

UNOFFICIAL RELEASE: ALIVE (WITH PLEASURE) 7" RECORD In May of 2011, Neil Hamburger performed at a bachelor party held in a back room at Zelo Pizzeria, Arcadia, California. The event was a small, invite-only affair, and Neil delivered a mix of classic gags and gentle barbs aimed at groom-to-be Taylor Brigode. To make the evening all the more memorable, Brigode's pals recorded it and pressed it up unedited in a limited edition as a special souvenir record, given to attendees of the blessed event. A small quantity of this pink-vinyl "unofficial release" have fallen into our hands, which we are making available solely to curiosity-seekers and completists, with no guarantee that the record meets the Standard of Quality. |
